What is The Progressosphere?
It's our word for the entire progressive landscape on the web.
In it's simplest form, it's a tool for users to view an unlimited number of progressive sites on the web in one place. Progressosphere news pages are updated with headlines from the busiest sites on the web every 120 seconds! Clicking on headline delivers you directly to the source.
The Progressosphere is also a community. (Or, at least, we hope it will be soon.) Members create profiles and connect to
Friends.
Friends
Add a person (or media outlet) as a friend to see their updates on your news pages.
Add your own RSS feed
Members can add their own RSS feeds to their profiles and share them with friends. And they can post new items to the Progressosphere for thousands to see. If you have a blog or use a social bookmarking service like del.icio.us or Twitter, you will definitely want to add your RSS feed to your profile for your Progressosphere friends to view. If you don't have a blog, consider adding your favorite news feed.
Posts
A Progressosphere "post" is simply a link to an existing news item with your comment or headline. The basic requirements include a working link and a short description. (Yes, we will filter spam.) Creative headlines are highly encouraged. Posts are ranked using a formula based on their date and number of clicks.
