Fire Rahm Emanuel Today!
Barack Obama should fire Rahm Emanuel today.
He has not served the President well as chief of staff.
One year ago, Obama took the oath of office riding a wave of goodwill. In the next six weeks, his popularity continued to soar. But now it’s hit bottom, and so have the Democratic prospects, after the debacle in Massachusetts.
Rahm Emanuel is responsible for a lot of this free fall.
Emanuel is a DLC Democrat, and he’s advised Obama to go in a DLC direction time and time again—and to disregard the progressive base.
On health care, Emanuel kept insisting that the public option was not very important. He helped engineer the under-the-table deal with the drug companies. He let Max Baucus dillydally, rather than push hard for a vote before last summer. And then he and Obama bent over backwards to placate Senators Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman rather than force a vote, via the reconciliation process, on a decent progressive health care bill.
“The only non-negotiable principle is success,” Emanuel likes to say. But that’s the very definition of being unprincipled. And by being unprincipled, he’s delivered defeat.
On the economy, the all-important issue, Emanuel urged Obama to disregard the advice of Paul Krugman and Joseph Stiglitz, two Nobel Prize-winning liberal economists, who publicly predicted that we’d have 10 percent unemployment by now if Obama didn’t propose a bigger stimulus package last spring. Emanuel and Obama’s other political advisers said the pricetag was too high.
Now Obama is paying for it.
Of course, Obama chose Emanuel for the job, and Emanuel may only be guilty of carrying out his boss’s wishes.
But Obama can’t fire himself. And he needs a chief of staff with the wisdom to help point him down a bold, progressive path. The Emanuel path is a dead end.

Wrong -- all versions brought forth inaccuracies in the official story.
Once again you fall victim to dis- info.
Have you ever even watched this?
Lot's of stuff to this event worth questioning.
You told me before, you were an Engineer of some sort.
If so, when you saw those buildings go down, your gut
told you something other than the official story.
But all these Doc. vids on this subject, are strictly
for dumbed down mass consumption.
Plenty of things out there from scientist, engineers,
architects, first responders at the scene, air traffic controllers, Underwriters Lab workers, etc. on and on.
This Country's population is the only one on Earth that officially buys the story.
And the reality is that most people question it, even in this Country, but to avoid being labeled with the prescribed talking point description, as Kool Aide drinker, they obediently shut up.
Glenn Beck, routinely calls for the arrest of people that question the 9-11 events, going as far recently
to cast suspicions on them, as potential Presidential
Assassins. Which is why I pray continuously for the safety of Obama, and why I am seriously alarmed, when I hear of lapses in routine Presidential security, but not for any concern I would ever have, that some patriotic "Truther" is ever gonna pull such a stunt.
You see "Truthers", more than others, understand
the "Reichstag Fire", False Flag, and their purposes in the Demonization of certain groups, as well as being quite handy when you need to dispose of some Civil Liberties.
They could never fall into such a trap.
And what is the name Colonel Glenn Beck calls his psy- op -- oh yes, the 9-12 thing, where he wants us to get back to how we felt right after 9-11.
Good non thinking tools of State and Empire.
Screw Glenn Beck -- an opinion, many of our Commie friends here might agree on, but not for the same reason.
They think he is a Patriotic American Conservative and not a well paid operative serving the same ultimate cause, that they unwittingly serve.
Perhaps Glenn is "unwitting" also, and I judge him too harshly.
Maybe, still drinking and just going with the flow for his fifty million pieces of silver.
But, I really think not ----
Something creepy about the guy, somehow to me.
Wouldn't trust him, if he lived in my neighborhood.
Probably tell the kids to stay away from his house.
But, if I have digressed ----
Hell, a lot of former government leaders, both from this country and others, say the official story was a cover up.
Even some on the 9-11 commission are of that opinion.
Start paying attention, folks, time is running out.
I know you probably have a job to do, but you should check into it, on your off hours.
