Nobel Prize-Winner Issues Warning on Global Warming
Rajendra Pachauri, the chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, warned that current emissions trajectories were speeding the world toward the panel’s worst-case possibilities.
“Science leaves us with no space for inaction now,” he said.
The Progressive’s managing editor, Amitabh Pal, interviewed Pachauri for our May issue. “The U.S. has lost a lot of time—the world has lost a lot of time—in moving from fossil fuels to alternatives,” he told The Progressive.
